Lots of Loved Ones
I'm very lucky to have family and friends outside of my immediate family who have loved and supported me over the years. They are all excited that I'm going to adopt and I know that they'll love my children as much as they love me.
My family, immediate or otherwise, has always shown me that biology doesn't make a family. Actually, most of my immediate family members are not biologically related to me.

When it comes to the people who are currently in my life, there are too many people who I consider family to list here. I want you to know that I do have many loved ones who are waiting to welcome a new member to the family and who are excited to meet her when the day comes.
My loved ones range from the woman who started as my next door neighbor and quickly became my grandmother and her daughter who stepped in as a surrogate Godmother when my Godmother (my aunt) passed away, to my Godfather's family (my dad's best friend since they were six) and my mom's longtime friend who we've always called "Aunt."

There are so many people waiting to support me as I start this next phase of my life. I know that the little girls who I eventually bring home will be loved more than they could ever imagine.
